When it was first published in 1995, dating book The Rules caused a sensation. Mainly because, in it, Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider basically told women to forget everything the previous thirty years of feminism had taught them. Really fancy that guy who smiles at you at the bus stop every day?. As for sleeping with a guy on the first date….well, there’s simply no hope for you. Whatever you think of their nonsense methods, there’s no denying The Rules had a huge influence – selling over 2 million copies in 27 languages, spawning a host of sequels and featuring in an episode of Sex And The City Here’s our pick of their ridiculous advice… 1. Don’t ask guys out by text, Facebook, instant messenger… Or in fact any way. Ever.
Today, I’m really excited to have Justin Stenstrom stop by again and talk about a unique dating book. He is the mastermind behind Elite Man Magazine (formerly Giving Shy Guys Game). A few months ago I invited Justin to write , as he is one of the most positive people I have ever come across ( it’s contagious!). In his article he was very honest. He admitted that he wasn’t always such a ray of sunshine. Anything Is Possible Justin had to work hard to become the guy he is today, an internationally acclaimed lifestyle coach, entrepreneur and Podcaster.
In fact, he wasn’t always good with women, or even comfortable in normal social settings – which means that he has come a longgg way. Through a lot of research, trial and error, and passion to change, he learned how to be positive, confident and have a successful love life.
Now he coaches tons of guys both in person and through . He recently wrote a book called and asked me to check it out. So, I bought it on Amazon over the weekend and read it. It’s not only a quick read (a few hours max) it is seriously funny, and it doesn’t have a lot of worthless fluff that leaves you more confused at the end than when you began (we all know those books).
What I really loved about the book is that you pretty much know at the end of each mini chapter if you “own” that rule or not. Today, while it’s fresh in my mind, I decided to ask Justin a few questions about his dating book. GET SECRETS NOW Enter Justin. 1. Where did these rules come from? Your personal experience? Your coaching experience or a mixture of the two? They came from a mixture of the two. I learned first-hand what it takes to be successful with women through trial and error, and the road was long and hard but completely worth it!
After that, I taught others what I learned, and go figure, I learned even more about dating and attracting women! 2. Did you forget any rules? If you could add any, would you? No, I could probably come up with some more rules if I really set out to do so, but to be honest, I think I got all of the essential ones in.
The additional things would most likely be offshoots or subsets of the original rules. 3. 41 is a lot of rules. How should a guy use this dating book to get the most out of it? This book is really straightforward, and although 41 rules are a lot, this may be the easiest and most clear-cut dating book on the market. I took out all of the extravagance and left the bare bones for any man to quickly know what and what not to do.
4. What resources do you suggest? For example, if a guy would like to improve his “approach game” or be more confident in bed? For approaching women I’d recommend checking out my friends at . My buddy Nick Savoy and some of the other coaches over there really have a strong grasp of the approaching game, and know exactly what it takes for men to master this.
As far as sex ed, I’d recommend checking out someone like who is a wizard with what he can do to pleasure women in bed. 5. One last question before I let you off the hook: what’s the best text message you’ve ever received? Love this question. The best text message has to be the one I get 2 or 3 times a week from my beautiful girlfriend, “ I Love You Baby“. Thanks Justin for stopping by again. And guys – go for the kiss! x If you are interested in taking your text game to the next level, check out our with over 300 creative text message ideas.
