1. The Importance of "Simming Yourself" as a Survival Hunter At this stage in the game, there are so many variables and so many layers of optimization that you can apply to your character, that there is no way for a guide or anything else to tell you exactly what gear you should wear. This is why we always recommend simulating your own character using . The website can help you choose Azerite traits, trinkets and combinations thereof in a way that is tailored completely to your specific character.
Learning to use this tool is essential to maximizing your potential, as there is simply no other way to take all the variables into account. 2. Best Dungeons for Survival Hunter This is a table containing all the currently available dungeons, and listing how many good items each dungeon can drop. We classify a "good item" as pieces that have a high amount of your best stat on it (Haste), as well as low/no Mastery.
This will help guide you on what dungeons to focus on when farming for upgrades. Dungeon Item Slots Temple of Sethraliss Weapon, Chest, Bracers, Pants Siege of Boralus Belt, Ring, Shoulders, Trinket Kings' Rest Belt, Ring, Trinket Freehold Bracers, Ring, Trinket Atal'Dazar Boots, Ring, Helm Shrine of the Storm Gloves, Trinket Tol Dagor Bracers, Shoulders The MOTHERLODE!!
Cloak, Chest The Underrot Belt, Pants Waycrest Manor Boots 3. Stats Many people have a tendency to overthink the distribution of their secondary stats. An important thing to remember is that a higher quantity of stats is nearly always better than a better quality of stats. Because of this, wearing higher item level gear with worse stats tends to be better than lower item level gear with great stats.
Keep this in mind when considering gear. 4. The changes to Marksmanship Hunters aren't a new thing, as Blizzard have changed the way other classes work in previous expansions. Now they're creating a new playstyle for hunter players which will be a more tactical approach to the class.
World of Warcraft was changing up class specialisations throughout all it's previous expansions, and the same goes for Battle for Azeroth. Apart from changing up specialisations, it will be adding new zones, features and increased level caps.
Marksmanship Hunters are arguably the be all end all to ranged classes in World of Warcraft, but both Marksmanship and the remaining two specialisations have been in a downward spiral in Legion.
The first change coming to the class is going to be related to the removal of the Vulnerable status effect. What vulnerable does to enemies is make them receive additional damage from Aimed Shot.
The new version of MM hunters will be more of a game of cat and mouse with the players' resources and cooldowns instead of Legion's basic spell rotation. Blizzard Entertainment WoW: BFA - This... Is... MY... BOOMSTICK! Quick Shot is an ability which will be changed from the current passive effect into an active spell which costs 15 focus.
The change from hunters using mana to focus was made in Cataclysm, and the new update to hunters in Battle for Azeroth furthers the need for players to manage their resources as well as procs and cooldowns. New talents include Trailblazer, which will be on the level 30 branch, and will increase the hunter's movement speed by 30% when not attacking for three seconds. On the level 45 branch the Steady Focus talent will decrease cast times of Steady Shot by 0.25 seconds each consecutive time it is cast, up to a maximum of four stacks.
Casting any other ability will break the effect and players will have to start over. Blizzard Entertainment WoW: BFA - Marksmanship hunters are losing their Artifact weapon as well Battle for Azeroth is mixing up how the class specialisations work in many ways for each specific spec.
Be they good or bad, we cannot say as players are yet to fully dive in the classes, rip them apart and find the pieces which work well together.

In BFA, thanks to the stat and item level squish items will have a smaller amount of attributes overall on them, plus there are less secondary stats available in BFA as compared to Legion. \r \r Agility is your primary stat, found on mail armor. Agility increases your attack power and damage done on abilities. Compared to Legion, Agility is much more valuable in patch 8.0 and Battle for Azeroth.
It used to be the weakest stat, and now it's the top stat.\r \r For secondary stats, the Beast Mastery Hunter has the following:\r \r \r Critical Strike: In addition to extra damage, crit also interacts with the mechanic, which resets your cooldown.
All of your pets inherit your crit chance. \r Haste: Haste increases your passive Focus regeneration and reduces the cooldown of and (plus the talent). Haste also reduces the global cooldown time. The more Haste you have the smoother the rotation will be. All of your pets inherit your Haste for their attack speed.\r Mastery: A simple damage increase to all of your pets (including talents that summon any kind of beast).
This also includes AoE damage that comes from your pets such as and . \r Versatility: Increases all damage, and reduces damage taken. This has similar value to the other secondary stats, but is usually a bit lower, unless you have trinkets and Azerite powers with direct damage procs which increases its value.\r \r \r General Stat Priority for BM Hunter\r \r Secondary stats for Beast Mastery are close in value, and everyone's stat priority tends to be slightly different based on their gear.
This priority is just a general one that may not be accurate for you. We recommend simming your character's upgrades with Raidbots over relying on stat priorities to make gearing decisions.\r \r Agility >> Haste > Crit > Mastery > Versatility\r \r raidbots ->The above suggestion is only generic and exact values will change based on your gear available.
In order to best know your best stats, we recommend you to sim your own character using many tools available in the community like SimulationCraft.
RaidBots provides you with an online platform for you to sim your characters for free!
